Some of my friends have had theirs replaced already and each one has had their furnace replaced also. My furnace works perfectly-I very seldom turn it on. Why would I have to have my furnace replaced. It seems like another gimmick to get more money.Zipcodes Served:

You are out of line in your thinking. Is this a good deal or too high. Believe it or not that is a good price for a reputable company. I am the operations manager at a plumbing company and when I started looking at the HVAC invoices I was shocked.
Subject: New High Efficiency Furnace and Central Air Install. I highly recommend them. You will be hard pressed to find an owner operator as knowledgeable as Mike Hoff the man is a walking heating and cooling database!!.
The voltage rating does not have to be identical, as it shows the amount of voltage the capacitor can see, not what it has to see; this means that if you need to you can use a capacitor with a slightly higher voltage rating than what you have now. If they are not written down, write down the make and model of your air conditioning unit, and use that information at the store or online to find the correct replacement part.
Lastly, brand is not important here.
The first unit purchase was flawless, a year ago. They never provided thermostat. They only charged me when the circuit boar new was defective- on warranty. When both Dc motors went last week they voided my warranty with Rheem.
I am so glad the SZ still has another life!. That being said, the problem most likely is caused by corrosion in the cooling coil in the back of the refrigerator compartment which allows the refrigerant to escapea fairly common problem in older Sub-Zeros. Once repaired, the fridge should continue to carry on for years more service.
Spray bottles and pump sprayers are simply not effective in penetrating most coil beds. After a lot of customer input, our engineers have redesigned our unique coil cleaning system, containing all of the features needed in a truly mobile package. Install a Geothermal Heating or Cooling System. Install a Whole House Air Cleaner. Install a Ceiling Fan. Upgrade an Electrical Panel. Repair an AC Unit.
Replacing the coil would not affect the refrigerant charge either. It is possible to have a leak aside from the repairs.
What I want is a ducted VRF that conceals the interior air handlers. My plan is to steal overhead space from closets and hallways to create very short duct runs which I believe should work well. Their minisplits installations have all been straightforward wall units. Further, can I trust that they will do the work correctly. Going from there, my question is this: Practically speaking what are and where are the best online resources instructional videos, best practices, step-by-step processes, design support, technical explanations, etc to walk a DIYer through the design and installation of a multi-zone minisplit system.
The fan blowing across the coil releases the heat into the atmosphere and cools the refrigerant, turning it back to a liquid before it re-enters the house, and the whole process continues. The Mini-Duct Approach A high-velocity, mini-duct system operates similarly to conventional systems in that it also moves heat out of a house by absorbing it indoors and releasing it outside. So how is a mini-duct system different.
To understand the distinction, imagine that a mini-duct system is a plastic drinking straw and a traditional system is a cardboard paper-towel tube.
Where exactly is it dripping water. Have you shined a flashlight through the coils onto a small mirror to check if the interior side of the coils are dirty. Normally the condensate water will wick down the face of the coils into the condensate drain pan.

If I switch the thermostat to the off position, the humming goes away. If I switch it back to cool, it starts humming again. Any thoughts what could be wrong and what to check. The humming could be the low voltage transformer, it the outside unit is also the air handler. Otherwise it probably does not have a transformer on the outside unit.

One thing to keep in mind is that Trane does not manufacture split ductless systems. The only way to use a Trane air conditioner is to have existing, compatible ductwork or to have new ducts installed.

Seasonal Energy Efficiency Rating SEER is a benchmark of how much electricity a given heating and cooling system uses to deliver power compared to another one, using a standard, fixed set of rating conditions.Other Locations Served:
If you are tied to a long lease, you may want to hire a contractor to determine what the issue is and pass it on to your apt manager, and ask to be reimbursed.
You may have a contract that forbids this, so check out the legalities. But the maintenance folks are on the wrong path IMO Jennifer, it sounds to me like the AC unit is producing a lot of condensation, especially when set to lower temperatures because it runs most of the time when set that low.
The Thermostat is fine, works well with furnace and used to work with AC, so I suspect a problem with outside AC unit. Perhaps a relay or Capacitors. The contact plate looks clean, no corrosion.
Sounds like a wiring problem. Or it could be the thermostat.
